The term "Obamanos" has rapidly evolved from the Spanglish take off of "vamos!" ("let's go!") to become the first word in the Universal language of the 21st Century. Coined in Spanish-speaking communities throughout the USA, it is formed from the African (Luo) surname, "Obama" (with honor also to the Japanese name, Obama) and the Spanish pronoun "nos" (us, each other, one another). The word also combines "Obama" with "manos" (Spanish for hands), connoting the shaking of hands (ala a New Deal), working hand in hand (side by side) for positive change, and the putting up of countless hands in the air and/or in prayer in a joyous and victorious cheer (ala, "Thank God Almighty we are Free at Last"). This rich and exciting new word has several meanings (see "What does Obamanos Mean").
